Google Drive App Review

- Google Docs App available on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad
- Access to your shared Google Docs on your phone
- Easy to edit and update documents
This app is a great one to use in conjunction with the CalenMob app for the simple reason that it allows one to view and access shared Google Docs folders on your phone, which is a great accompaniment to CalenMob as one can view the events that have been scheduled in CalenMob in greater detail.
I use this app all the time because I share Google Docs with photographers I work with to keep tabs on the hours I have worked for each job (which I have scheduled in CalenMob) and the amount I will be invoicing for each job. This benefits both myself and the photographers tremendously: I can keep track of hours and dates easily and be able to copy and paste straight from the spreadsheet on to my invoice at the end of the month, and the photographers are kept up-to-date with how much they will need to invoice their particular clients. Google Drive also provides me with an easy, instant way to access the notes / comments for each particular job that I am busy working with, which is very important for the kind of freelance work that I do.
This app is really fantastic in terms of usability. The interface is very straightforward and easy to use and you can view spreadsheets according to their tabs, which is always helpful to keep things organised. You are able to change and update documents to a great extent: you can add rows, cells, change fronts, change alignment and spacing, and add to formulas, to name but a few. You can also zoom in and out of the documents you are viewing with ease, giving you a more detailed look or an overview of the whole document, which is handy when viewing a spreadsheet with multiple tabs. It is simply a very handy, portable extension of Google Docs.
